This is a little vibe-coding project I made to replicate some ship mechanics from the 2004 game, Sid Meier's: Pirates!, and to familiarize myself with the Godot game engine.

Movement

  • Forward: W or Up Arrow
  • Reverse: S or Down Arrow
  • Turn Left: A or Left Arrow
  • Turn Right: D or Right Arrow

Combat

  • Aim (hold): Q
  • Fire: Space (while aiming)
  • Cycle Shot Profile: R

UI / Debug

  • Toggle Debug: P
  • Toggle Ship/Surfboard (dev): T
  • Dev Free-Fly Override (hold): Ctrl or Cmd

Tips

  • Hold Q to preview trajectory, then press Space when the arc crosses your target.
  • Tap R if your shot needs more or less arc.
  • Port trading opens automatically when you sail close to an island.
